| Introduction | Good for You, Good for the Environment, and Good for your Bank Account. These three goals drive my food and life choices. I like food. A lot. And in my experiments with food, I've found that most things taste better and are better for you if you MAKE THEM YOURSELF! So that is what I'm going to document here - my trials and tribulations of Home 'Cookin. I'll make it healthy – most of the time! While I will often focus on food, I will also be sharing other do-it-yourself adventures that are just as rewarding as a great home cooked meal! I have a Holistic Health Practioner Certificate, an Ecology degree, and grew up on a Christmas Tree Farm...so my Jack of All Trades (and master of none!) nature will shine through as I share any number of nifty do-it-yourself tricks that are good for you and the environment. My husband is from Australia, and we have an adorable son, Austin David Mair, born August 16 2008! We met when we were both teaching skiing at Mount Hotham in Australia (yes, there are skiing mountains "Down Under"). |
