Introduction My DJ name is The Rep. I present jazz shows from my own collection. It is a great pleasure when you have something wonderful to share it. My other interests are classic cars and martial arts. I studied Karate and a weapons system up to black belt. My classic car is a 1949 Triumph Roadster 2000. My love of jazz goes back to the early sixties. I would go to see people like Tubby Hayes, Ronnie Scott, Stan Tracey, Jimmy Deuchar, Peter King and Bobby Wellins as well as all the great american musicians Ronnie brought to the club. Another club The Marquee had Joe Harriott's quintet. He had a horn player called Shake Keane, who was so very good, on bass Coleridge Goode and piano was Pat Smythe. It was a superb band. Any way after we left the Marquee we would make our way to Scotts for Saturdays all night jazz session. You would get a lot of musicians and singers in London for other reasons and they would join in, even though they had no permit. You then wanlked the streets of Soho looking for coffee till the trains started at 7.30 sunday morning, with a head full of the wonderment from the jazz music you had been infused with. So that's how it began and I have enjoyed the ride ever since
