Introduction | I am dynamic, driven, down to earth, and passionate about ensuring that tax payers money delivers maximum value. I hope to inspire people to make a difference. I want to help and serve my community giving it the energy and enthusiasm it deserves. I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth. Through hard work and scholarships I funded my education. I am proud to be a UCL Law graduate and to have achieved a distinction in my LLM thesis on Iraq. I was called to the Bar at Middle Temple in 2007. Alongside my academia I have made headway in international business and the legal sector. I worked in the Tower Hamlets financial district, Canary Wharf at Investment bank Morgan Stanley and now I work for a cross jurisdiction legal firm serving Middle Eastern clients. In my work I have a legacy of corporate social responsibility, sustainability and representation. I want to apply such skills to resolve the problems in the community where I reside. I promote integration and inclusion through the overlap in conservative values and traditional community sensibilities such as modesty, work, dignity and common sense. |
Interests | Politics: After first becoming politically aware I joined the young conservatives at 16. After gaining straight A’s I achieved a scholarship to attend University College London to study law. Whilst at University I helped build and secure membership for the party. I spent a summer undertaking a voluntary internship with Andrew Rosindell MP for Romford in the House of Commons, which inspired my continued involvement with the party. I was impressed with Andrew’s campaign strategy. I have taken part in a great deal of campaigning experiences for the last 15 years. I have stood in two council elections in the borough of Tower Hamlets, where I achieved a positive swing to conservatives in dominant Labour area with a high level of election malpractice. I have helped many friends of mine running campaigns did a research project for John Whittingdale MP for Maldon on Analogue Switch-over. Sport: For my health I love cycling and want to make it safer. I am so happy Boris shares this belief. I swim every day and did the London Triathlon Swim this summer with a team from work. I also love horse riding and snowboarding. Charity work: I have been involved in community projects in the UK and Gambia and the Middle East for which I gained the Foreign Office G8 award recognition. |
Favorite Music | I used to publish, edit and distribute a fanzine called Rah Rah UK in Shropshire so have eclectic taste. From rock to blues soul to funk. I love live music. |
Favorite Books | Anything by Dickens he appeals to my vivid imagination of London during the industrial revolution. I also love The Gift and other factual books that provide insight into everyday toils. |
