Introduction | Hi My name is Chris, I trained as a chef in England. After graduating from Thomas Danby College in Leeds, during the 70's worked mainly in Yorkshire. I eventually trained as a vocational education teacher at Huddersfield and became a professional cookery lecturer at Rotherham College of The Arts and Technology. During this time I successfully completed a City & Guilds diploma at Sheffield and had the great experience of working at the Dorchester Hotel during summer vacations with Anton Mossiman. In 1985 I migrated to Australia where I taught professional cookery in Brisbane for 18 months before moving to Townsville to head up the cookery unit at the Townsville TAFE College. After a year I became the head of the Tourism school. I am now semi-retired and am keenly interested in cookery and the industry. I am an enthusiastic home cook, cooking every day and have a sizable collection of cookery books and menus. I intend to share some of my passion and enthusiasm for food through this Blog |
