| Introduction | I have always had an interest in education, from the time I was a little girl playing school with my toy chalkboard as my only instrument and my little brother and stuffed animals as my students. Today, I am a public school teacher and a mother. I love seeing children explore and learn, and I love my work, but every day I am confronted with challenges that cause me to question the system of formal education that has developed and become institutionalized. With this blog I hope to lend my humble voice to a growing conversation about how to rethink education and learning. |
