Occupation | Urban Homesteader & Homebrewer |
---|---|
Location | Salem, Virginia, United States |
Introduction | Our roots here feel deeper everyday, but our branches seem to stretch across the country and world to find like-minded folk. Carrie is out-spoken and not one to ever hide who she is, Justin is the rock of reason that keeps her from flying off into her own world, but who also is always along for the ride! We're dedicated to urban-homesteading and trying to live as eco-friendly and self-sustainable life as possible, without losing what made us who we are in the first place. The love of beer brought us together, and homebrewing holds a special place in our hearts. Homesteading, homebrewing, homeschooling, and Hokies -- is there anything else left to say? |
Interests | Homebrewing, urban homesteading, photography, cooking, writing, gardening, tail-gating, crafting, movies, camping, seeing good music, bbq-ing & cookouts, hanging out with my family |
Favorite Movies | Ahh, so many wonderful movies to chose from. I love comedies ~ those are my favorites. But we love movies: our collection grows too fast! |
Favorite Music | Bluegrass & Jam band mainly, though I really do love most all types of music (I don't get that into country and I don't really care for rap/hip hop or pop-bubblegum) |
Favorite Books | Books that help teach me things: gardening, cookbooks, books on being self-sustainable. Also, books that make you think, that open your mind and eyes; books that transport you to another time or land; books that make you weep and make you feel like the characters are real people you know and love. |
