Introduction I wish for all women, to live in a world where their gender is their pride, not a disadvantage. The journey of a woman, in most parts of the world, is not an easy one. Having worked with about 20,000 young girls and women at grass-root levels, I have realized that these challenges grow manifold for women from indigent backgrounds. Championing for women’s rights comes to me naturally and my blogs are an amalgamation of my experiences with real people I have met in corporations, in communities and within families. I have very closely observed objectivity and disparity, strengths and vulnerabilities of women, irrespective of their socio-economic standing. Even before heading the nonprofit, Roshni (and working with young girls), I have always firmly believed that education is the biggest tool for empowerment. Working for and with women is my life’s calling. I am also an entrepreneur and marketer with expertise in managing start-ups. I have about 11 years of successful track record in sales, product marketing, project management, operations, and strategic partnerships.
Interests I am trained Indian classical dancer and love to paint in my free time. Reading biographies, and everything about women, is my daily dosage of inspiration. I feel alive when I travel and believe the best way to learn is by exploring new places, cuisines and meeting people. I have taken up jobs in diverse sectors, to experiment and learn and I believe that has made me a better person. I will stay a learner forever.
