| Introduction | I grew up in Hampton, Tenn., and lived there until my wife and I moved to Erwin, Tenn., in February of 2000. There I served as publisher of The Erwin Record, an award-winning newspaper. In March 2011, my wife, Amy, and I moved to Lafayette, La. In August of 2012, I began commuting between Lafayette and Elizabethton, Tenn., where I work as publisher and CEO of the daily newspaper, the Elizabethton Star. I live by this quote from Annie Lennox: "I don't have any answers; I've only written about the questions." |
