Introduction Kandy M. Christensen is the owner of Meandering Design. Kandy learned how to sew when she was seven years old on her grandmother’s 1950’s Italian sewing machine. She uses that machine today, along with her mother’s 1970’s Singer sewing machine that she ‘borrowed’ in 1995 (and never returned), to create her unique designs. Kandy learned at an early age to either make do with what she had or remake what she found. Thanks to a family of hoarders there were copious amounts of material at hand. Kandy shares the mysteries of sewing with others. She believes good design does matter and that we should question the world around us and the way things are done. Kandy speaks about upcycling, revamping, makers and the importance of design.
