Our Band Could Be Your Life (Michael Azzerad), Hunger (Knut Hamsun), Winter in the Blood (James Welch), The Surrounded (D'Arcy McNickle), Nick Hornby stuff, R.A. Salvatore's books, Margaret Weiss & Tracy Hickman, Douglas Niles, Richard Baker, I like *SOME* of what people call classics and I like academic books, too. Mostly, though, I'm a sword & sorcery fantasy nerd when it comes to books. I also really love ancient literatures, especially ancient Germanic and Scandinavians ones; Egil's Saga, The Prose & Poetic Eddas, Beowulf, The Vinland Saga, and so on. I'm not big on the Romantics as far as poetry's concerned, but I DO like William Blake and Coleridge. |
