Occupation Retired
Location Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom
Introduction I'm a bit of an ancient... nearly through my sixties I have a temper at times and the attention span of a goldfish. I also tend to visit 'Doolally Junction' regularly hence the name Lunatic-Kate.
Interests Drawing, Painting and travelling - my husband and I have 8 grandchildren between us. Apart from these interests - I would - like all the Miss World contestants, love to save the World. Fight poverty in Third World countries and stop all the violence and wars... after that I wouldn't mind being given a load of dosh to buy a gorgeous house by the sea where I could just spend my remaining days just watching and listening to the movement of the waves ...
Favorite Movies All the "Old " ones, favourites are It's a Wonderful Life, The Bishop's Wife, As Good as it Gets, Mrs Miniver, Penny Serenade, Gone with the Wind, The colour Purple - I love all the classics and most of the weepies - Also love 'old' Doris Day, Kathryn Grayson and Gene Kelly musicals.
Favorite Music Country and Western, old ballads and most of the Abba and Carpenter songs ... and being a teenager in the 60's all the Liverpool sound music.
Favorite Books I have bookshelves of Emma Blair, Catherine Cookson, the vast majority of which I have read, my reading since getting hooked on the net has widened - though some of the time I used to spend reading has gone by the wayside a bit ! I am at the moment reading Tony Roper's book 'The Steamie' which I love, it's a typical sweet/sad yet comedic story of women's lives in the 1950's in Scotland.
