Introduction	I created this blog to build momentum for critical gerontology with short essays and images. But as in any good cafeteria, there will be a variety of things to choose from and even some desserts. My interest in gerontology began, at age 5, in the Mills Cafeteria, Cincinnati, Ohio where many lonely elders took their meals. Twenty years later I was working as a social worker with elderly Philadelphians. Now an elder myself, my views come from this journey as well as the journeys of many others I have met along the way. Finally, it will serve as a place to share and clarify ideas as we all move together through these tumultuous times. --University of Cincinnati; Merrill-Palmer Institute, Detroit, MI; Temple University.
