| Introduction | The purpose of this blog is for me to have fun. Since I am a rover, raconteur, and writer—a little of each—none of which my line of work discourages, it suits me. Don't expect great writing here though. Remember, it is my fun. I have chosen to build the blog around essays and talk of essays because short is practical given my obligations. And it is a form I have loved even though it is not my forte (my most recent books are biographies). I live in America, but expect some essays with a South Asia focus between March and June of this year (2013). I launched Essay Buffet on January 1, so it is new. It may take me a few weeks to get all the tabbed pages up and running. If you have feedback or suggestions beyond the comments, you can write to essaybuffet@hotmail.com. I will welcome it. Oh, and one more thing: while these personal essays are substantially true, a little embellishment is part of my fun. |
