Introduction I was born in Liverpool in the UK, and was ordained, in 1981, in the Chester Diocese, where I subsequently worked as a Church of England curate. I was then the Ecumenical Chaplain and Tutor in Religious Studies at Bedford College in the south of England for 8 years. After this, I moved to the Aberdeen and Orkney Diocese of the Scottish Episcopal Church, where I was the Rector of two churches on Deeside and also involved in theological training in Scotland. Since September 2000, I have been Vicar of Christ Church here in Hong Kong. I am also a Lecturer in New Testament Studies at Ming Hua Theological College, the Anglican theological college in Hong Kong. I believe in trying to combine a pastoral and teaching ministry in a local church with a commitment to education and theological study, particularly in the area of New Testament Studies. In my ministry, I want to address how those of us from an orthodox theological position can engage creatively and honestly with the society in which we live.
