| Introduction | I am an avid naturalist, arborist and natural history illustrator living in Minnesota. My particular interest is exploring animal forms, and how these designs inform an animal’s function in relation to their respective environments. To this end I maintain a huge collection of animal bones and skulls collected over the course of over 30 years tromping the outdoors. My deep interest in anatomy helps me compare what we know about extant animal life to those that are extinct, and helps to visualize them better. I find this comparison helps give an overall perspective on how evolution and extinction are constant bedfellows in the history of life on earth. |
