Introduction On August 27th 2008 we noticed that Aaron's leg appeared swollen. Within days he was diagnosed with metastatic Ewing's Sarcoma with the primary site in his left femur and tumors in both lungs. Soon he started a very aggressive chemotherapy regimen. He has finished 7 rounds of chemo and a resection of his femur, and now is undergoing a stem cell transplant. His own stem cells were cancer-free, so they were harvested and put back into his body after a very intense week of chemo that is meant to obliterate his bone marrow. Despite it all he has charmed his nurses and everyone at Phoenix Children's Hospital, and he continues to grow and thrive even when we were told he wouldn't. His prognosis is good, and he is a fighter!
