| Introduction | Like most women, I'm alot of things. I'm a wife, mother, daughter, nurse, lover of animals, lover of art and of all things crafty. I'm inspired and influenced by everything. I want make almost everything I see. I love fabric, yarn, lace, glitter, buttons, and Photoshop. I fall asleep at night thinking of what to make next. I can't collect enough craft supplies and vintage stuff. My daughter is grown, married and out of the house so I've taken over her old bedroom for craft stuff. My darling husband complains that I'm taking over the house, but he sweetly built a sewing station for me, right in the living room. I love him so. We've got an old Daschsund named Frankie who thinks he's a baby, and who I have to share the sofa with. We've got two parakeets and two lovebirds, who all live in the kitchen. My house is an old creole cottage built in the 1870's. It's very small and interesting. It isn't sweet and vintage like so many beautiful homes I see in the blogs and Somerset magazines. There's vintage and retro, kitch and weird. It's alot like New Orleans, friendly but with a bit of grunge. Our old house has layers and layers of living. I love it. |
