| Introduction | I grew up in the early 1970's during the peak of the Cold War, as a child I used to cycle round Kelvedon Hatch, Essex, oblivious to the fact it was the United Kingdom Warning and Monitoring Organisation's Metropolitan Sector HQ. The paranoia of Nuclear War was never far from my mind back then. These days I'm fascinated with Industrial Archaeology & exploring, particularly underground sites, I can finally get to see the hidden secrets and history of Cold War Britain. I have two rules: 1. Never force entry to a site 2. Never take anything from a site apart from photos. |
