Introduction	Epictetus writes: A journey into the implications of our values and culture on secrecy. Designed to educate and inform on secrets that support - or challenge - our national security and behavior on the international stage. The blog will not tell you whether Pollard, Manning or Snowden are villains or heroes. It will, however, provide context for a changing world where privacy and secrecy evolve almost daily. Written by a career intelligence professional, with an interest in history, ethics, culture and society. Why Epictetus? A Second Century stoic, he is most known for essays on identity, character and the consequences of our reasoning. No man better epitomizes our struggle to understand secrecy. Join us! -2013.12.06.
