| Introduction | Hi, my name is Mrs. Hans. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t involved in the classroom. I grew up volunteering for reading programs, bilingual programs, and was always surrounded by students. During my undergraduate program at Cal State, Los Angeles, they began to financially compensate me for doing what I loved! It was a dream come true! Although I knew there would be more work ahead. After finishing my Liberal Studies degree, I moved to Portland for a change of scenery and have never looked back! Shortly after the move, I was briefly involved in the corporate world of recruiting before returning to school to receive my Masters in Education from Portland State University. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy reading, traveling the world, and educating community members about Type I (insulin dependent) diabetes. Additionally, my husband and I are keeping busy taking care of our new son, Xander! |
