IntroductionMy name is Jeni Buckingham, and I live in a sweet yellow cottage house among some of the oldest oak trees I have ever seen! The squirrels chatter and run across the roof, Cardinals and Jays flit from the great magnolia branches to the quince bushes, and occasionally a red-tailed hawk cries out from above. The air is charged with life, and I feel at home in this peaceful wood. I grew up near the shores of Lake Erie, toes in the sand and sun on my back. I spent most of my childhood exploring lakes and streams and the joys of the forests here in Ohio. It is no surprise that I get my inspiration from nature! The National Park is now a skip from my doorstep, and is home to some soaring bald eagles, along with thoughtful turtles, and little golden bugs that fill the air with winged glitter when the sun drops low. If I were a painter, I could show you these beautiful things on canvas. But I am not a painter. I create in metal and stone; things of the earth crafted with soul and passion. On my canvas lakes become aquamarines, forests grow out of jade, and cardinals fly out of garnets! I want to share this majesty with you... please feel welcome to my paradise!
