| Introduction | I did not enter media by design — I entered through curiosity. Over time, it became my lens to understand society. From producing national television to documenting lives shaped by poverty, gender norms, and emotional struggle, I learned that communication is not about noise — it is about responsibility. As a medical anthropologist and communication strategist, I translate complex realities into narratives that inform, humanize, and empower. As a mentor and professional listener, I hold space for emotions that rarely find safe ground. This blog is not performance. It is reflection. It is where professional insight meets personal truth. Sometimes structured, sometimes intuitive — but always honest. |
| Interests | I am deeply interested in human behavior — not in theory alone, but in lived complexity. I am drawn to stories that sit in silence: unspoken emotions, intergenerational wounds, women’s resilience, social conditioning, and the quiet courage people carry within them. My work in media and anthropology shaped this curiosity into practice. I am interested in how narratives shape identity, how culture influences emotional expression, and how communication can either reinforce power structures or gently dismantle them. I am fascinated by the psychology of relationships — marriages, parent-child bonds, friendships, mentorships — and how emotional literacy changes outcomes. I care about ethical storytelling, social impact media, and behavior change communication that respects dignity. Beyond professional spaces, I am interested in inner growth — self-awareness, healing patterns, breaking cycles, and building emotionally conscious lives. I observe people. I listen deeply. I reflect often. Nature also anchors me — silence, night skies, the sound of wind through leaves, long drives, quiet water bodies. These spaces help me process the world. At my core, I am interested in one thing: how to leave people slightly lighter than I found them. |
| Favorite movies | My taste in films reflects my emotional spectrum — layered, nostalgic, socially aware. I grew up with classics like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai — stories of family, longing, and belonging. Lamhe stays with me for its emotional complexity. Films like The Sixth Sense and City of Angels fascinate me for their exploration of loss, perception, and unseen emotional worlds. I Am Sam moved me deeply — vulnerability and dignity in one frame. On the South Asian social realism front, Osama and Rang De Basanti represent courage and socio-political awakening. Dil Chahta Hai and Hum Tum capture friendship and evolving relationships. Parineeta holds poetic romance and cultural depth. I am drawn to films that make me think quietly afterwards. Cinema, for me, is not escape — it is reflection. |
| Favorite music | Anything that touches the heart. Silence at night. Wind through leaves. Ocean waves. Rain on rooftops. The pause between two thoughts. Music for me is not always melody — it is atmosphere. I love songs that feel like memory. Ghazals. Soft instrumentals. Old Bollywood. Sufi poetry. And sometimes complete quiet. |
| Favorite books | The Alchemist Siddhartha Talash Labaik Books on anthropology, human psychology, and social behavior Memoirs that reveal emotional truth I read to understand people — and sometimes to understand myself. |
