| Favorite Movies | I love anything with Jennifer Aniston in it! She is just magical to me - perhaps secret girl crush has something to do with it. I loved Julie & Julia which YES inspired me to BLOG. I'm a movie fanatic, but mostly for independent and deeply moving or hilariously funny or romantically inclined film. I don't do BLOCKBUSTERS unless it is Titanic or Pearl Harbor - those both had beautiful richness to the story lines. I'll see those. I also LOVE the animated madness of this decade. So smart, funny, and geared not just to children, but to adults. Very fun! |
| Favorite Music | My music collection is insane - I just looked at my Itunes catalog to see that I've reached 3, 500 songs - that doesn't include any of the music on my 300 compact discs. Wowsa - love that word - thanks Rocio! Yes, I have a passion for Country music - mostly from 1992 to now, but some of the older stuff (especially Reba's older stuff) I love too! I rock out to Black Eyed Peas and Britney and in the next song I'll be singing along to Fleetwood Mac and John Cougar Mellencamp (he has my same initials - too cool) and I've got such a soft spot in my heart for Bob Dylan. My collection starts with ABBA and ends with Wynonna. In between you'll see Madonna, Michael Jackson, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Ingrid Michaelson, Jewel, Maroon 5, George Strait, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morisette, Miranda Lambert, Jaime Foxx, Beyonce, and the list goes on and on forever and ever... LOVE MUSIC SO VERY MUCH!!! It's my life! |
| Favorite Books | All the Harry Potter books - I'm in awe of JK Rowling - what a wonderful world she created. She's a huge inspiration in my writing, but to create every detail of a world like that, I'm not quite there yet. Lots to learn and be inspired by still... I need to read more - Truthfully I don't read enough. I reread my lyrics or stories all the time that I guess I get a little burned out on reading - Bad! Need to immerse myself in someone else's words from time to time. It will help with that inspiration piece I was talking about... |
When you hesitate before hitting snooze on your alarm clock, are you being lazy?
Laziness is defined as: an inactivity resulting from a dislike of work. So, yes if I was SUPPOSED to get up and work and pushed the snooze, of course - that's lazy. Though, if I had another hour to spare and hit the snooze to enjoy the slumber - that's just beautiful and not lazy... we all need our shut eye and when we can grab it - I say GO FOR IT!
