Introduction	Alvin is a software industry veteran with wide-ranging experiences from technology consulting, commercial databases, application development, cloud computing, SaaS, and consumer e-commerce. He is passionate to share his time and experiences to help foster Philippine development after 15 years competing in the global software industry. He currently works for Microsoft where he is Director of Business Management for the Business Platform Division (SQL Server and SQLAzure). In prior roles, he launched the Xbox Games-on-Demand service, managed global programs, and is a published author on distributed databases. Alvin has an MBA from the University of North Carolina, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Arizona, and a BSCS from De LaSalle University.
