| Introduction | If you are reading this blog, you most likely already know me and have your own (hopefully positive)opinions regarding this category. Here's my condensed version: I am the lucky wife of a hard-working and devoted husband and father, Michael, and together we have two beautiful girls, Maya (6) and Ava(3). I have previously taught high school English in a variety of settings and am currently employed as a "stay-at-home-mom." I have decided to keep this blog for my own therapeutic purposes, to document the trials and tribulations of parenthood and life in general, and share with any interested family members and friends. |
| Interests | Needless to say, my two girls take up the majority of my time and energy, so my interests tend to gravitate around theirs. The main reason I am starting this blog, in fact, is to help keep myself accountable for documenting the trials and tribulations of parenthood. |
| Favorite movies | Gone With the Wind, Sound of Music, When Harry Met Sally, and Forrest Gump are classic favorites; I generally like psychological suspense movies and movies based on true stories, almost all Adam Sandler/Rob Schneider movies are good for a laugh....other movies that stick out in my head are Shawshank Redemption, Little Miss Sunshine, the "Brat Pack" movies of the 80s (16 Candle/Breakfast Club/Pretty in Pink), any Tom Hanks movie, Top Gun....okay, I think I am getting carried away on this category.... |
| Favorite music | I have a wide range, including classic rock, some country (in small doses), almost anything from the 80s (which, I suppose might be classified as classic rock now....damn, I am getting old!), and, of course, The Wiggles and "temple tunes" (aka songs from Bet Shalom, Temple Emanuel, and various Jewish children's CDs that have both entertained me and taught me some of the basic prayers, rituals, and tenets of Judaism. |
| Favorite books | Those Who Save Us by Jenna Blum, The Blessing of a Skinned Knee by Wendy Mogel |
You've been invited to a fancy ball but the only thing you have to wear is an orange wooly jumper. What shoes do you wear?
I would go barefoot with a really nice pedicure.
