Introduction My name is Jeff and I spent 20 years in the United States Air Force. During the latter part of my career, I led fitness sessions for my squadron of 40 people. Health and nutrition have always been a personal hobby of mine. I believe in living and staying healthy and fit. On December 1st, 2015 (about 2 months before my 50th birthday) I got on the scale and read 228.2 lbs. Being 5'8", that's considered obese! So what went wrong? Like many people, I just started eating for comfort. Comfort from stress, boredom, and to be honest, laziness. It became easier to eat than to worry or find something more constructive to do. As a retired veteran, Uncle Sam doesn’t require any level of fitness standard from me anymore. Finally after many years of eating for comfort, my body started feeling...well…uncomfortable! I have a beautiful wife and 3 year old daughter that need me to stick around for a long while. I'm doing this for them, for me, and because I feel it's the right thing to do.
