| Introduction | I began writing this journal as a lark in 2010, and have continued through a season, a lockout, and a lockout season. Slava Medvedenko was one of my favorite Lakers during his unremarkable seven-year career. A big man from the Ukraine, he couldn’t seem to speak the language, confounded Phil Jackson, and wouldn’t hesitate to chuck up a shot as the fifth option on the floor. Once done with basketball, he promptly disappeared from the face of the earth, as did most internet references. My entries are sporadic, incorporate threads of basketball and personal life, and owe nothing to accuracy. I regularly contribute to True Hoop’s Forum Blue and Gold, and have guested for or True Hoop and SB Nation blogs, as well as for B/R as a featured columnist. |
