Introduction	I have been a Type 2 diabetic since 1997. I have been able to control my blood sugar with lifestyle changes, healthy cooking and eating and being active, and I have avoided being on insulin. I am loving educating newly diagnosed Type 2's in the day to day living with Type 2 diabetes and how to learn the basics of food, carbs, net carbs, meal planning, and exercise suggestions (age appropriate) how to navigate the grocery store, how to read labels - all of the annoying things you have to learn as a newly diagnosed diabetic.
