| Introduction | I've been playing World of WarCraft since 2006 and was turned on to the game by some friends I met while playing Runescape, another MMORPG. My child had gotten me interested in Runescape a year or two earlier. Since we homeschool, I noticed how he applied math knowledge to max out his leveling skills. I got hooked on Runescape, leveling my character "Freakish Bob" to level 92. We made the step up to World of WarCraft (WOW) when some college-aged guild members suggested it. There was a bit of a learning curve, as with all good things. I've made great friends all over the world from online gaming, and would recommend it to any family. We share an account, have 33+ "toons" (characters) including a couple of lvl. 80's, spread over many servers representing both Horde and Alliance. The only time sharing an account becomes a problem is when there is a big expansion, such as the Cataclysm launch. We're not super-players laden with tons of epic gear and epic mounts. I enjoy questing and solo play as opposed to raids and dungeons. |
