| Introduction | I have invested in the stock market since 1980 generally doing my own research on a part-time basis. In 2003 I decided to make this venture a full time project. Without any formal training in the field, using common sense and a logic that is based on a contrarian view, I conduct this research. I have learned to understand charts and, in most cases, they are the focus for the choices mentioned in this blog. I constantly do my "homework" and have been fortunate enough to financially survive some difficult times in down markets. Like everything else in life, I have made some good decisions and some bad ones. Nothing comes easy, it's all about hard work and enjoying what you do. In the past, several friends and relatives have asked to be notified whenever I came up with "picks" on individual securities. I have gladly shared that information via e-mail. The mailing list got a bit extensive and, in order to reach anyone who may be interested in future opinions, I thought that a blog was in order. If any of the updates are helpful to you, great! Let me know. When some of my choices go "south", I will be hurting too, so please keep any correspondence "clean". |
