| Introduction | So. I'm 30 years old. I've studied engineering, chemistry, and music, though I never finished my degree. I have a fascination with how culture and history interact, so maybe someday I'll go back and finish up a degree in ethnomusicolgy or cultural anthropology. Once I manage to pay off the student loans I already owe, heh. I'm an Army brat, lived in every region of the US except the Southwest, and also in Germany. It's made me pretty accepting of people who are different from me, and a bit weirded out by some of the things people define as "different". (I mean, people in this area equate "y'all" with rednecks. Well, the New Jersey "youse" makes me cringe when I hear it. I'm desperately pretending I'm not thinking of dumb Mob thugs whenever I hear it.) I'm married, no kids yet, two cats. I'd love a house, but sadly we can't afford one, so we're in a small apartment that's perpetually messy because we have more junk than space to put it in. I'm a girl gamer, and I love MMOs. I no longer play EVE, and rarely log into CoH anymore now that I've got SWTOR. My other hobby is trying not to kill my houseplants, which I sometimes call gardening. |
