| Introduction | It's time to attempt a homespun life. I recently realized that my worst day at home was way better than a good day at work. Nut and I have agreed to scale down our lives and live as simply and inexpensively as we can. I think it's self-reliance, We call our blog on the subject Dirt Poor Survival. Pioneer living was how life was lived long, long ago. There has to be a way on some level to get back to that. The experience has been surprising...what one can do without in daily life, and not even miss. We are on our way down the road towards self-reliance, and it's granted us another perk which is I am now home to give my husband Nut more of the assistance he needs (he's a stroke survivor from 1998... talk about survival!). The words "Life sucks" is not a healthy life credo. That's where Simple Life Simple Pleasures is worth a visit. It is a humble oasis for a little bit of positive thought replacement and a free smile.
