| Introduction | My life revolves around children, chickens, and dirt. I have a revolving- door-of-sorts when it comes to children. I have a few kids of my own and also take in children that have been placed in state custody. A flock of fiesty roosters and hens provide my family and the surrounding community with fresh eggs and an occasional pot of chicken and dumplings. All of the dirt on my hands and feet comes from growing fresh fruits and veggies in my less-than-an-acre backyard. Living off grid is very appealing and a goal at this point. I hope to build my first green home and expand my natural, free-ranging egg business within the next two years. |
