| Introduction | I am from Los Angeles via Hawaii, Nicaragua, Kansas... I have been in and out of Lawrence, Kansas for the last four years. And now after two years into my PhD in Geography, I still hope to finish it in less than 10 years. I see grad school as a way of getting paid a minimum salary to live the way I want to live and do the things I want to do. That means learning many languages (I am currently into my fourth), living in different places, continuing to work in the world of coffee, and always looking for ways to promote justice in the world. |
