Introduction	Frank La Rosa, the writer of La Rosa's Garden Blog, has tended gardens for over 60 years. He studied botany at the U. of Miami, Fla. Frank now writes a column for L'Italo-Americano on Italian culture and a gardening column titled "The Italian Gardener". He has written over 500 columns for the Del Mar Times and the Carmel Valley News. Twenty of these columns have been published by the author in a book The Spirit of Gardening. La Rosa's poems appear in the first North American anthology of Sicilian poetry, "Sweet Lemons."
