Introduction Trilby Busch was born and raised in the Steel Valley of Homestead, Pennsylvania. Her paternal great-grandfather was killed in the Homestead Works in the immediate aftermath of the battle between company-hired Pinkertons and locked-out steelworkers--an event that inspired her to write "Darkness Visible: A Novel of the 1892 Homestead Strike". She served on the Board of Contributors to the Opinion Page of the Minneapolis Star, writing about historic preservation and folklore, and has published over 150 feature and op-ed pieces. Retired from teaching college composition and literature, she currently lives in Duluth, Minnesota.
Interests Architecture, history, historic preservation, historical research, choral music, reading, border collies, folklore, the paranormal.
