| Introduction | Approaching 40 and TTCing since 12/07, right after our honeymoon. Tried IVF 3 times with my own eggs. 2 embies total, all BFN. Finally got our BFP from a donor egg but lost the baby to an "incompatible with life" neural tube defect at 12 weeks. Trying again with a super fertile donor in October 2010. Here's our timeline: 12/07: Start TTC 10/08: RE visit, fertility tests 12/08: IVF #1: cancelled on Day 8 due to no response 3/09: IVF #2: 2 follies, 2 eggs, 1 embryo, BFN 10/09: IVF #3: 2 follies, 2 eggs, 1 embryo, BFN 12/09: Start the donor egg process 3/10: Donor cycle - BFP! 5/10: Baby diagnosed with fatal neural tube defect; pregnancy terminated 8/10: Follow-up D&C to remove remaining products of conception 8/10: Booked Donor #2 & begin cycle 10/10: Donor ER and ET. BFP but it's a chemical. So really a BFN. 5 frosties, thank god. |
