| Introduction | Information Technology has been the greatest agent of change & promises to play an important role in the coming years. IT is changing every aspect of human life i.e. Communication, Trade, Manufacturing, Services, Culture, Entertainment, Research, Education, Defence, Global Securities and will soon become the chief determinant in the progress of nations, communities and individuals. The recommendation of the national task force on information technology cover a wide spectrum of issues. It includes telecommunications, finance, banking,human resource development, defense & rural development. In future, it can prove to be a treasure with tremendous pay-offs in terms of wealth creation & generation of high quality employment. Unless the private sector enters into specific job training programs, in a big way, this gap will not be filled. NITS has taken the responsibility to offer job oriented courses specially to rural and semi urban domains.
