| Introduction | I've been involved in martial arts since the tender age of 5. My parents presented me with Ralph Macchio as the Karate Kid, and I knew that my destiny was to beat Daniel-san's ass. As I matured to the ripe age of 12, I decided that my future had changed course and I was meant to live out my dreams as a professional athlete...In the WWF. To prepare my body for the rigors of combat, I frequently trained myself by grappling with the cushions on my parents couch. The fact that I did this in my underwear was how you knew I meant business. From my mid teens to early 20's I trained in kickboxing and muay thai, and did fairly well at local events. After a 4 year hiatus to bodybuilding, I returned to combat sports for another 2 years. Now, at the geriatric age of 29, I work in hospitality and host a new MMA blog/ website while I go to school for business management. I have a wife of 6 years (whom I love), a three year old daughter (that showed me what life is about) and 2 dogs (who are tolerated at best.) My wife and I are preparing to move to Denver, Colorado, where we hope to open the Nation's first MMA themed sportsbar. |
