| Introduction | With so much going on the world that is of grave concern it is sometimes quite easy to get our eyes off the Prize of Jesus Christ, and focus on all that is wrong: in our own lives, in the lives of those we love and care about, and in the world at large. There is so much pain and suffering, so much evil and darkness. But Jesus tells us that He has overcome the world, that we should not be afraid and that He will be with us even to the end of the age. The writer of the book of Hebrews in the Bible says: "Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name" (Heb. 13:15 NIV). So that is what we will do here: simply offer praise to our Lord, no matter what is going on in the world around us, or in our own lives, because no matter what, He never changes and is always worthy of our praise! Let us draw near to Him with grateful hearts full of praise! |
