IntroductionSingle female with first career in human resources. I have raised two sons from infancy into productive men who are excellent fathers to their children. This means of course that I am a grandmother--a 16 year old girl, a 7 year old girl and a 5 year old boy. My second career has been as an historic interpretor. This career started as a volunteer at a museum back home while working in HR. Upon retirement I packed my car and drove off for VA, where I worked for Colonial Williamsburg for 6 years. Once again the car got packed up and it was off to Charleston, SC, working at Magnolia Plantation. Weather there was too oppressive for me, and it was back to Cincinnati. There I worked for the museum where I first volunteered. Along with interpreting I was working on the interiors of the buildings and doing repairs on textiles. This lasted for 4 years. Then, it was time again to pack the car and get on the road. This time I was headed to Gettysburg, PA, where I worked at the Shriver House Museum. And, once again I am at the Shriver House. Is it any wonder I call myself a Gypsy Soul!
InterestsTraveling to historic sites, creating a variety of needlework including counted cross stitch, crocheting, making quilted tote bags and other crafts that I sell at craft shows and making accessories for period attire. I also enjoy watching movies over and over. I love pets and have been involved in dog rescue, but this is not possible at this time due to be so mobile right now.
Favorite moviesGone with the Wind, North and South, mini series on George Washington and for comedies, Dutch and RV
Favorite musicMostly country like Garth, Reba, George Straight and for quieter moments the flute music of Douglas Blue Feather
