Introduction	I am the family genealogist/historian. My Mother was a Smith and my Father was a Johnson. I didn't think I would get very far in researching my family, but that has not been the case. I have been able to trace my Ancestors as far back to the 1600's on both sides of the family. Some arrived in Virginia and some in Maryland. All of my Ancestors who came to this country originally lived in the colonies with the exception of one. I am a member of DAR, through my 5th Great Grandfather, John Jump. I have several other Ancestors that fought in the Revolutionary war that I am in the process of adding as a supplement to my membership. I have to say that Genealogy is one of the most addicting hobbies I have ever run across. I love it!
Interests	My interest include, but are not limited to, Ballroom dance, gardening, genealogy, history, sewing, cooking, investing, travel and just being creative.
Favorite movies	I like comedies a lot. I like all of the Chevy Chase National Lampoon vacation movies. I like the old musicals with Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, Doris Day, etc...
Favorite music	Elvis is my favorite performing artist, but I also like Big band music, Jazz, Country and Western, Classical, etc. I like almost every kind of music.
Favorite books	Grapes of Wrath, Gone with the Wind, The Help, ...I love to read.
