| Introduction | My career spans over 20 years of early stage venture capital, growth stage private equity, and leading entrepreneurial ventures and strategic projects. I've been responsible for managing venture capital and private equity funds (over $300M under management) in both Silicon Valley and Chicago (where I currently call home). I was a founder and early employee at several high-tech ventures in Colorado (a place I miss very much!), companies that were named to Deloitte’s “Technology Fast 50” and Inc. Magazine’s “Inc. 500”. I've had my fair share of strike outs and companies that were sold for over $100 million dollars. My education includes a BSBA in Decision Sciences (a fancy name for a degree in statistics and computer science) from the University of Denver, an MAS in Technology Management (also from the University of Denver), and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Prior to my entrepreneurial and investor experiences, I spent about six years at Andersen Consulting (now called Accenture), where I was a software engineer and project manager on various strategic technology projects for Fortune 500 companies. |
