| Introduction | This is a photo of me and my bride, Michelle, at Niagara Falls in 2008....I really enjoy writing essays and thoughts that may be of value to people struggling with life.....I began writing when I saw how men in my church were struggling with so many things. Even though they were Christians and believed in God, they did not seem to have anwswers....After missionary service in Africa, I became a special education teacher. Michelle and I were doing more and more counseling, and I finally left public school teaching in 2005 to spend more time getting training as a Christian counselor.....I find writing is a useful way to engage the mind--both for the writer and the writee. I hope it engages yours....This blog is dedicated to a friend, Jenn Uwarow, who died on Feb 8, 2009. Her writing is worth your time. She was a young woman who was afflicted with cancer. Her blog is entitled "The Modest Cottage," and she has a site also on "Caring Bridge." Some time ago, she read a piece I had written and challenged me to begin blogging--so, here goes.... |
