About me

Location Half Moon Bay, California, United States
Introduction In the 1980’s, Eric W. Nelson, with the permission of MCTV (Half Moon Bay’s community access channel), began his own surf show called “Powerlines Surf-Spots.” The show exhibited local surfers in Half Moon Bay and Mexico and also covered Pro Surfers in the O’Neill Coldwater Classic. Eric produced well over 100 shows before collaborating with Curt Myers, a local surfer and filmmaker. They continued to work together until the show came to an end in 1994. On December 11, 1998, Eric and Curt collaborated angles on an epic day at Mavericks and made the movie, “Twelveleven.” It was after this production that they came together as Powerlines Productions. In 2000 at the X-Games Film Festival held in San Francisco, Eric and Curt met up with Chris Wilson, cameraman, producer and graphic design artist for the biography of motorcycle maniac, Seth Enslow, “Seth the Hard Way.” In 2001 Wilson Productions teamed up with Powerlines Productions to give it the unique look that separates Powerlines from the rest.
