Introduction I hail from the most colorful part of town, three blocks from Times Square, two from Broadway/Shubert Alley. Some call it Clinton or Hell's Kitchen. Developers call it Midtown West. I call it home. I like cities of all sizes, especially ones with waterfronts. I like downtowns with tall buildings. I like main streets with mom-and-pop shops in century-old buildings. I am a walker. I have had memorable walks here; 44th to the Battery and back at 4am with Bobby and Big John. In San Francisco I went from the Embarcadero to Fisherman's Wharf to the Golden Gate Bridge to Pacific Beach. In Paris I walked from Montmarte-Basilique du Sacre-Coeur to the Eiffel Tower to Luxembourg Gardens. In Montreal I walked from the old town to Jarry Park, first home of the Expos & Coco Laboy & Le Grand Orange, Rusty Staub, to the top of Mount Royal in downtown. I work in the imaging dept. at Time magazine. I have written and edited for trade publications in beauty, fashion and real estate. I have written for community papers/newsletters. My passion is urban affairs. I am active and volunteer in my neighborhood. I have served on the local community board, planning council. Now I blog.
