| Introduction | I’D JUST BE THE CATCHER IN THE RYE AND ALL … I KNOW IT’S CRAZY. —Holden Caulfield in J.D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye Holden called himself the Catcher in the Rye, so I call myself (and my blog) the Shortstop in the Sourdough. Why? 1. One of my best days playing baseball/softball was when I was a shortstop. I caught a line drive, and several people, including the opposing coach, cheered. 2. Sourdough is my favorite bread. And the best sourdough is made in the San Francisco Bay Area. 3. I like the sound of it. :-) I'm a writer, focusing on YA literature while dabbling in film, TV, and video games. Someday, I hope to work in publishing as an editor. My current WIP is a YA novel called Between Heaven and Earth. |
