Introduction In 2004, Craig, Eva, and Eva's old Chihuahua, Scooter, headed down to Mexico for their first cruising adventure aboard their first sailboat, s/v Tigertail Street. We cruised Mexico for 10 months and sailed as far south as Acapulco before heading back up the coast for California. Our diesel engine seized outside of Manzanillo, our backstay failed a few miles from Guadalupe Island, we had no radar or self-steering, and we still, somehow, managed to sail our Cal 2/29 home to Long Beach. It took us 90 days to get home from Acapulco. After all that, we vowed to get our next, bigger boat with all the bells and whistles, and pursue a life on the water both in business and pleasure. In 2008, we purchased our Newport 41, S/V South Trail in San Francisco. We moved her, and ourselves to Ventura Harbor, CA and started a small marine handyman service, Ventura Boat Doctor. We continue our quest to sail the oceans of this fabulous world and live our life on the water with our new rescue dog Dover.
