| Introduction | After much thought, many changes of my mind, and a couple less-than-enlightening internships, I recently decided that I want to become a teacher. I want to teach middle school English and inspire kids like my 8th grade English teacher inspired me. I hope to use technology in the context of the class to allow students to share their own thoughts and stories and to discover inspiring writers or other figures. When I was in middle school, there was no sign of technology in an English classroom, especially around the year 2000 when I was in middle school. When I'm a teacher, however, I have to expect that student's relationships with technology will have changed and I want to use this class to prepare for those changes. |
