| Introduction | I have been writing since I could hold a pencil in my hand. My first story, with the help of an older student to whom I told it, was written in kindergarten. It was called, "The Parrot that went to the Moon," and it was published in the Hawkeye Booster newspaper – way back in 1967 or 1968. |
